2012-2017 Car Model Disclaimer

It's important to note that not all cars are covered under federal and state lemon laws. There are time and mileage limits as well as other restrictions that determine whether or not a vehicle is covered under the Lemon Law. Most likely, only vehicles with defects or warranty problems manufactured in the years 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 are eligible for protection under state Lemon Laws. However, different limits apply in different states.

What are the requirements to file a Lemon Law claim in New Jersey or Pennsylvania?

In both New Jersey and Pennsylvania, a vehicle is protected under Lemon Law if it has been subjected to an unreasonable amount of repairs, and the problem(s) substantially impair the use, value or safety of the vehicle- within a certain time frame. Time and mileage limits vary by state:

A vehicle may be protected under New Jersey State Lemon Law if the problems occur within the first two years or 24,000 miles. In Pennsylvania, a vehicle is covered if the problems occur within the first year or 12,000 miles. If your car doesn't meet this criteria, there's a possibility you may still be protected under consumer protection laws. There are multiple lemon laws available  ̶  federal or state lemon laws, as well as provisions  ̶  that can help you recover money spent on repairs, and sometimes the full amount you paid for the car, truck, motorcycle, or SUV, call us for a free consultation at 1-888-830-1474.

If the problem is a result of abuse, neglect or modification on the part of the purchaser, the purchaser does not qualify for a refund or replacement under federal or state lemon laws.
