Joseph Odom

Joseph’s practice primarily focuses on commercial litigation, business litigation, civil litigation, and personal injury. Joseph has secured favorable outcomes for his clients across all sectors involving litigation. As to personal injury matters, as a former insurance defense attorney, Joseph knows how to work with the big insurance companies to get you the favorable results you deserve.

Joseph received his Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana Tech University.  Joseph later received his Juris Doctorate and Graduate Degree in Comparative Law from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University.  Prior to attending law school, Joseph served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and completed two tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan, earning the rank of a Sergeant while serving in the 1st Battalion, 23rd Marine Regiment.  Joseph was honorably discharged from service in March 2013.

Along with all Louisiana state courts, Joseph is admitted to practice in the following federal courts:

  • U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana

  • U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana

  • U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana

  • U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Joseph is a member of the Louisiana Bar Association, Shreveport Bar Association, and the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel. Joseph enjoys spending time with his Wife and three sons, fishing, and reading. Joseph greatly enjoys supporting the LSU Tigers as well. Geaux Tigers!
