Nissan Altima

Although vehicles manufactured by American automakers have made great strides over the years, many people still prefer foreign brands such as Nissan for performance and efficiency. Nonetheless, these vehicles, whether manufactured domestically or abroad, are prone to defects that required multiple repairs.

Timothy Abeel & Associates, P.C. represents Nissan owners and lessees in Lemon Law claims throughout all of New Jersey and Pennsylvania, including Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Trenton. If your vehicle has required multiple repairs for the same problem while under a manufacturer’s warranty, you may have have a valid claim. We have helped clients who are experiencing problems with a wide range of Nissan models including the Nissan Versa, Nissan Sentra, Nissan Altima, Nissan Maxima, Nissan Rogue, Nissan 370z, Nissan Murano, Nissan Pathfinder, Nissan Xterra, Nissan Quest and many others.

Nissan Recalls

Nissan vehicles are prone to all types of defects such as transmission failure, air conditioner defects, shifting delays, leaking coolant, electrical problems, engine issues and many others.

As such, numerous Nissan models have been the subject of technical service bulletins and recalls.

  • In January 2017, Nissan issued a recall of 341,005 2015-2017 Altima Sedans because of a defect with the rear passenger door panel. The latch-lock cable for the door may have been routed incorrectly, causing interference with the power window regulator. This could lead to the rear passenger door opening when the switch is pressed to lower that window, increasing the risk of injury. Nissan instructed dealers to add a patch to permit proper cable routing or replace the latch-lock assembly entirely.
  • In December 2016, Nissan North America recalled certain model year 2013-2105 Nissan Altimas, 2015-2016 Nissan Rogues, and 2016 Nissan Maximas because of the installation of incorrect Occupant Classification System (OCS) Electronic Control Units in the front passenger seats. The incorrect combination may have misclassified the front passenger seat occupant, causing the airbag to deploy incorrectly in an accident, increasing the risk of injury.
